Bharat Scouts and Guides KVS State Pre Jamboree- Inauguration on 24^th December 2016

The Bharat Scouts and Guides KVS State Pre Jamboree began at Kendriya Vidyalaya Mysuru on 24^th December 2016. The Pre Jamboree was inaugurated by Shri P Devakumar, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, RO, Bangalore Region, Divisional Commissioner BS & G(Bangalore Region). The programme started with the General Salute by the Scouts and Guides present at the venue. The BS & G officials presented the scarf and badges to the dignitaries and with the lighting of the lamp the programme began. Venue Principal Mrs. Nirmala Kumari presented the welcome speech which was followed by the cultural programme that included bharatanatyam recital, group song and a fusion dance depicting the multicultural face of India. Later the Chief Guest Shri P Devakumar spoke to the gathering and said about the importance of time and the need to excel in today’s world. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks rendered by Mr. Murali Krishna, Principal KV Dharwad, District Chief Commissioner, Coordinator Pre Jamboree and 17th National Jamboree 2016-17. Immediately after the inaugural function all the participants moved to the playground of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mysuru for activities which is a part of the Jamboree.
