Report of activities of Pre
jamboree – 25.12.2016
The day as usual with
the B P exercise at 6.30 am. A meeting was conducted by the contingent leader
Mr. S S H Zaidi in the assembly ground with the participants and escort
teacher. Main agenda of the meeting was the distribution of work to all regions
and their work arenas. This was very important for the smooth functioning of
the day’s activities. Main activities were pioneering, camp craft, first aid,
March past, Yoga, colour party, Band party, Rangoli, Food Plaza, Global village
development etc.
After breakfast at 8 in
the morning, the participants resumed their tasks assigned to them. Children
were instructed to decorate their tents with different gadgets and camp crafts
prepared from waste materials. Inspection was done by the inspecting team. The
displayed camp craft items were very impressive and showcased the creativity of
the students. The participants had put in all efforts for great show. Displayed
camp crafts and pioneering projects of few regions were appreciated by the
whole inspecting team. Refreshments were provided at the tents to the
participants at 11.30 am. The Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru regions made a
surprise visit to the venue and found everything going smoothly and inspected
the rally area. All the activities went on as per schedule. The participants
were busy the whole day. They were working with full enthusiasm and energy.
After lunch at 1.30 pm,
all the participants had assembled for a brief meeting to review the progress
of the tasks. Later the principals in charge of various departments of Pre
jamboree visited the tents and appreciated the work done by the students. They
encouraged and appreciated the students and teachers for their creativity and
enthusiasm. In the evening there was a small Christmas programme where
everybody sang Christmas Carol and cut the Christmas cake. One of the
participants thanked the venue principal for organizing the Christmas
programme. All felt at home while celebrating the Christmas. The work resumed
after the tea time and the participants went back to their camp site and
started working on their projects till it was dark.
Evening time was filled
with joy and colour as the campfire started at 7 in the evening. Eight regions
presented their dances which mesmerized the whole group. Every one appreciated
the effort and talent put to realize it. The chief guest of the evening was
Mrs. Madhumati Damodaran, Principal KV MG Railway, Bangalore, who is also the
incharge of food arrangement of the participants for Pre Jamboree. She blessed
the participants and appreciated the programme. She also thanked the children
for giving a wonderful evening though all the children were working all through the day. After the
camp fire, the dinner was served and the lights were off at 10.00 pm. Thus, the
day came to an end after a long satisfying togetherness.
