Report of activities related to Pre Jamboree - 23.12.2016

        Most of the Regions participating in Pre Jamboree reported on 22nd December 2016 it self and many reported on the next day. To make the beginning of the Pre Jamboree 2016, a meeting of the Bharat Scouts and Guides officials KVS state was held in the morning at 11 am in the seminar hall of KV Mysore. All the instructions were given to the escorts of the regions both verbally and in writing. 

The main agenda of the meeting was proposed by Mr S S H Zaidi, State Organizing Commissioner Coordinator and the contingent leader. All concerned officials of different fields of Scouting and Guiding spoke on the expectations of the KVS in the 17th National Jamboree. It was stressed upon to take care of the participants, Scouts/ Guides in every respect. Mr. Sheikh Mastan, the Quarter Master informed all the escorts to collect their kit given by the KVS(Track suit, T shirt, Rucksack, bag, diary, woggle and scarf, Daily routine diary and shoes). The Principal I/C for Mess Mr. Mithilesh Kumar gave instructions related to timings of breakfast, lunch and dinner. He also mentioned to collect the coupons for the above mentioned without failure.

     The tents were pitched by the participants with lot of enthusiasm. Separate tents for each region was done and participants from each region was assigned with various tasks which were displayed and practiced by the participants. 

     In the evening of 23rd December 2016, Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore Region Mr. P. Devakumar along with the Assistant Commissioner Dr. A K Mishra  visited the venue Vidyalaya and addressed the gathering of the officials and escorts of different regions. The Deputy Commissioner motivated the escorts for being responsible as they have a challenging job ahead. He also stressed on the need of discipline, punctuality and dedication to raise the standard of performance of the participants in different activities / competitions for the 17th National Jamboree 2016 for which the Pre Jamboree is being organised. 

He showered his blessing and gave best wishes to one and all. There after a sumptuous dinner followed. The lights were off for the day at 10 pm as per schedule.
